How the KindlyReviews review-request texting program works, and how customers agree to receive its messages.
KindlyReviews (kindlyreviews.com) sends text messages on behalf of local businesses to those businesses' own customers after a completed service (for example, a repair, appointment, or purchase). Each message thanks the customer and links to the business's own Google review page. A customer receives one message per completed service, plus at most one reminder. No marketing messages are sent.
Customers provide their mobile number directly to the business at the point of service — at the counter or checkout of the business, or when booking the service — and are told the following before any message is sent. The business only sends a review request to customers who agree:
"This is [the business's name]. With your permission, we will text this number one link to leave a Google review about today's service, sent via KindlyReviews, plus at most one reminder — a maximum of two messages about this visit, and no marketing messages. Msg & data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to end messages, or HELP for help. By saying yes, you agree to our Terms & Conditions (kindlyreviews.com/terms) and Privacy Policy (kindlyreviews.com/privacy). Consent is not a condition of your purchase. Is it OK to text this number?"
